Android phones may give you a lot more for your buck.
Once you have smart phones, you can get rid of your wifi hotspot and GPS, as those are built into the phones.
So, if you have this hotspot ability in the Android, how do you use the laptop online?? Do you need another plan or another hotspot for that if you use a laptop and need internet access while traveling?
Our iPhones (four in our family) have hot spot capability. You just go to settings on the phone and turn on the hot spot. It creates a wifi network that you can then "see" with your laptop and connect to. You're using your phone's data plan.
When we travel in addition to our phones we bring along a laptop and an iPad. DH needs the laptop for work and if I'm doing a lot of surfing I prefer the larger screen of the iPad. We connect to the internet as needed via the hot spot feature on our phones.
