Don't know about you but iTunes has frustrated me to no end.
How can you totally screw up a simple file transfer app?

Well I found a good solution and it's free.
I can transfer photos, books, video and music with ease.

I’ve been using GoodReader for years. It’s a $5 app though. In addition to reading different file types and opening .zip files, it offfers a WiFi share that lets you connect easily in Windows explorer so you can drag and drop anything over.

I poked around a bit more this morning.
This app will also let you download videos from the web to PC or tablet. Just copy the URL into it and click.

i didn't see anything about ipods
i have a friend with a Nano, who would love to have me transferring music

but i don't have itunes on this PC

Airdrop is for photos and documents and only works between Apple Devices not PC to tablet etc.

I know the devices have to be close but won’t air drop do what you want?
