iPhone mobile wifi hotspot, I am late to the party

Why didn't someone tell me about this 3 years ago? Prior to a month long trip in May my iPhone 4 died after 3 good years. A free class at the Apple store on the SE showed me how the wifi hotspot worke...

Thanks,good recommendation. Also that is why this thread is much more useful here than in a tech section because of a regular traveler like me. From now on what is offered by a park is much less important.
