If you are considering getting a WiFi adapter for your Wally receiver there is only one USB plugin adapter that will work. That Wally WiFi adapter includes the programming that makes it work with the Wally. Other generic WiFi adapters used on PC's will not work with the Wally (I've tried them). I don't know if an generic WiFi adapter will work with other satellite receivers.
Next question is why limit your WiFi access through DISH and the Wally. The current Apps supplied by Dish for your Wally will give you easy access to Netflix only (which requires it own subscription by the way). I recommend you get a Roku or Amazon Fire which gives you access to all streaming channels like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. The Roku or Fire plugs directly into your tv (check your ports before ordering) so you don't need to power-up your DISH service to watch tv.
