- GoPackGoExplorerYup, just take a look at the national coverage maps for the different major carriers. Once you do that, I think the choice will be obvious. The trick is to get that carrier's coverage for less then what they want to charge by signing up with them - which is why so many of us liked Millenicom.
I full time and need something other then spot coverage. - DiskDoctrExplorer

Stay away from Sprint. JMHO.
T-Mobile has great plans and rates, in BOTH places it works in the US :R lol - louiskathyExplorerT-Mobile now has a plan that has roll over data. It's not for everyone. But if you are able to travel or be in their coverage area, it's worth checking out.
Stay away from Sprint. JMHO. - Katman1100ExplorerMine was working today, but.seems to have quit tonight. In fact that is how I found this thread. This is the first I knew anything about all of this. I never recieved any emails or calls from anyone but my device stopped working tonight so I got online on my phone to try and figure out why. Now I am not sure what to do. Guess I better find an option quick though.
- vermilyeExplorerAccording to the latest information I've heard from Verizon, they will shut down the Millenicom accounts on December 8th.
- LearjetExplorerwell...they haven't shut off my MiFi yet :h
Anyone else still have their unit working? - jhilleyExplorerExede is a fixed satellite based service not suitable for RVs that move frequently
Exede Satellite Internet Service - teachergirltooExplorerI have read on other forums that some Millenicom customers are moving to Excede because they have a Hibernation Plan to benefit people that don't need the service year round. If anyone does this on this forum please update us on your experience. It sounds good, but personal experience is always best. ..Edited: Just found out this service is only good for RVers that are in one fixed location. :-(
- diveman52ExplorerThey have not cut of my service yet. Still using it for free LOL
Until the stop it I'll keep using it.
Already have set up with A.T&T - aslaksonExplorerI just got a call from Verizon, and they were offering to reactivate the Millenicom hotspot to a 20gb plan for $99. They were also offering to upgrade it to 30gb for $130, essentially converting it to the "double-data" 15gb plan that was available in October. Told them we'd already done that with Verizon and got a newer piece of hardware as well. They said to hang on to the old hotspot just in case, as if the new one should die, we can just move the sim card over to the old one and be alive again. So we have a hardware backup. :)
So - make sure you ask "what else" when/if they make their pitch.
