Need some info on marine speakers

Question

Hey all,We are new RVers and completely excited!  Just bought a 2007 Starcraft Star Stream 18RB HTT.  The outdoor speakers were blown when we purchased it so those are definitely one of the first fixes...  Really only fix we have, rest are just fun mods I'll get to.These speakers say 5" Aquatronics AMS502B.  It's been hard to find many 5" marine speakers so I was wondering if 5.25" speakers would fit as they're more prevalent.  Any suggestions?  I really don't want to cut the outside to fit a larger speaker in there and the manual doesn't say much on the audio.

I went through a few brands of marine speakers on my boat. Most were only good for a year or two before they would start disentigrating. I now have Poly-Planar speakers and they have been going good for four years. Might check them out.

You will have to remove one of your speakers and verify the hole size (if there is one) to verify if any speaker will work. Poly-Planar has 5" ones also.Poly Planar 5" Speaker

Okay, I didn't know if the 5" is measurement of the hole or of the speaker.Thanks for the great replies!
