I just tried the new browser from the creator of Opera, but built on the open source chromium engine, which power Chrome. https://vivaldi.com- available for Windows 7 +, Mac OS and Linux.
First impression- great for Opera fans, and a good alternative for anyone. Very customizable, very different from the Firefox/Chrome/IE paradigm (like Opera has always been).

I use it sometimes.
It can be set so that no images are downloaded, it makes for a very blank looking page but saves a lot on limited bandwidth.

Seems to- I am just trying it a bit. Looks like every Chrome extension will work, as it is built on the Chrome engine

What is this OPERA thing you are talking about...

Opera was the 3rd big browser back in the day- there was Netscape, Internet Explorer and Opera. It always did things a bit different- gesture based navigation, tiled start screen (this was back in the Win98 and XP days). Opera is still around, but this is a fork by some of the original folks.
