- Alfred622ExplorerThis reminds me of governmental regulations that everyone that operates a CB Radio have a free license. Same for some family radios. Next thing I know, we'll will need to be licensed to be able to obtain licenses... oh, that might not be politically correct. Anyway, I do agree about the mess on the cellular services. If you read the Verizon contract for your cell phone closely, signal boosters are not allowed (at least 2 years ago).
- W4RLRExplorerNothing free about the GMRS license I had to get to use the walkie talkies I use to back the rig into tight spots. The call sign WQGG230 costs me $80 for five years. Thankfully the amateur license only cost me because I have a vanity call sign, otherwise, it's free, but you do have to pass a test on rules and electronic knowledge.

Would be nice if there was a test on rules and electronic knowledge for cell phones too. :)

ke4hts - docjExplorerI'm not too concerned about the "amplifier police" coming around to check on the amplifier I already own. Anyone who wants my Wilson Sleek will have to "pry it from my cold dead hands!"

He's not the only one - I've already renewed mine once!! :E - fj12ryderExplorer IIIGee, maybe they'll make it such a pain that people will quit using cell phones. :)
