New satellite dome 'treatment'

Saw a TV commercial the other day that demonstrated a new kind of Rust-Oleum called 'Never Wet'. It certainly fits the bill as concerns domes. I don't know how many times I've had to climb up on the roof to wipe ours off after experiencing heavy fog or rain.
Have any of you tried it? I'm trying to contact both Rust-Oleum and Winegard to get their 'take'. I think it comes in a 'clear' which would be the only one we RVers would be interested in. Thanks. Jim
  • Just heard back from Winegard: DO NOT apply Rust-Oleum 'Never Wet' to a dome. End of story. Thanks for your replies. Jim
  • I do not put any kind of Snake Oil on the dome,it works fine without it.
When the dome was working just marginal....It was a BAD LNB.
    Siggy
  • Sort of think that a layer of spray paint would block the signal more then a little water/heavy dew on the dome surface. I've never had an issue with water ON the dome blocking signal it's always the rain fall that does it. If you MUST put something on it try something like RAIN-X, or just a good old fashion coat of wax.
