No tool bar w/Firefox

I've always used firefox for my browser and somehow I've inadvertently did something that causes the tool bar to completely disappear. Some times I can run the curser up to the top and the tool bar will appear, but as soon as I move the curser down, the tool bar goes away. And, sometimes I can't get a tool bar at all and have to shut down the compute completely and start all over again.

Any idea on what I did and how I can fix it?

thanks

Ron
  • Tried that... all I get is clicking noise and then a beep when I let up on the keys. No VIEW menu.

Camper Paul almost had it right'

    1:Hit Alt Key

    No,

    1: HOLD alt key

Then hit V and release both keys.. This should bring up the VIEW menu, you can use cursor or mouse controls to get to toolbars, Main, and either space or enter (not sure which) or mouse to click.

Done that a time or two, and I think one FF update did it to me.

  • If you see no bars try hitting the "F11" key ...

If you see only the "top bar", follow this sequence:

    1. Hit the "Alt" key

    2. Hit the "V" key

    3. Hit the "T" key

    4. Select the "tool bars" you want to see.

    Done.
  • Menu Bar controls the display of the File, Edit, View, etc. menu. I suspect it may actually be the Navigation bar that you're looking for. In any case, right click next to the tabs and see what is disabled and then re-enable it.
