Note on updating maps on a Garmin dezl 760.

I did mine tonight. As part of it, a warning screen comes up telling you because of the large quantity of updated map data you need to install a micro SD card of at least 3GB capacity. I had several 8GBs sitting around so I used one of those. If you don't have a card, then you can only download geographical sections of the US.

The download started off saying it would take well over an hour. In reality, it took about 30 minutes but I'd still suggest you do it from a free WiFi source unless you have unlimited data.

It's been available for a while, but I've only started using GARMIN EXPRESS in the last 6 - 9 months. With it you register your GPS units and then anytime you click on the icon, it will tell you if you have updates to download and how many. This is handy because you don't have to plug your GPS in to see if it's current. Then plug in the correct GPS (I have three that this will work with), click on the icon for the GPS you plugged in and it will download the upgrades. Garmin has finally an update system working like it should.
