open source alternative to MS Office

We have Libre Office here at home, and I always choose Google products instead. They are just easier to use, and will mostly work with each other. If you are a spreadsheet guru, Google Sheets won't translate everything, so that can be an issue, I am sure Word and Docs have the same issues, I don't care for word processor programs, so I try to limit my use of them. ;)
Regarding Google "spying" on what I do, well, the stuff is mostly free to use, and if that means I get ads targeted at my interests, whats the harm?
I would rather get kayak related ads than Preparation H (or other generic uninteresting) ads! YMMV.
