You are probably right as to about 75" for the dinette, outside dimensions. Your screen will also be in front of the dinette, losing about 2-3 inches. I believe this will bring you down under 6 feet once I consider the size of my big head. So 66" (5 1/2 foot) is still pretty close. You will also be sitting to the sides and not centered.

Have you measured 66" from your screen at home and tried sitting at that distance. set some chairs up at that distance and about 4' apart to simulate sitting on each side of the coach.

It's all personal preference but I think I would end up with a headache. It may work for you.

We will try the velcro idea around the RV before screwing anything in.

My thinking if you want to do this is mount the projector in the cabinets above the sofa and velcro a screen (or white sheet) to the opposite wall. It would be easy to mock this up to see how it works before committing to final install or purchase of a retracting screen.

It looks great from my perspective as long as no one has to "p" during the show. Go forward and you will have a great experience at night and a "so-so" experience when daylight can hit the screen.

I slept on this and thought of the following configuration.

Screen is attached to the overhead storage (wooden) on either side of coach in front of fridge and at start of dinette. Projector is placed in gap between cab and coach which we cant climb into anyway as too small.

Certainly not too small. Just find a place that will allow you (you all) to be comfortable while viewing.

We thought that at first but it's fine at home in the basement. We have about the same distance from sofa to screen.
