There was room under the bed and I put our Epson under there. You can buy a really small travel printer but they run around $200 for the ones I looked at.

I use an old Dell 1355cn at home and it is not terribly large. I am sure it would hold up fine on the road. I would take it with me if needed.
A basic black printer should be even easier.

we carry a small b&w laser....Samsung M2020W. our model is either wifi or usb, win7 or win 10.

We have carried a Canon all in one for several years. It is hardwired, but when it gives up we will switch to a wireless.
It depends on how much printing you do!

I might print "text documents", twice a year, or not at all

What I print are pictures I have taken, or image labels for CD DVD discs, it gets more use as a copy machine, than anything else, not much trouble with ink drying up, even though it can set for months without being used,
It's an MX series, MX80 ?, I've been very happy with it

If you want a tiny printer, you could also look at a thermal printer. For example, the Brother PocketJet series. They are more expensive than a cheap laser printer, but much smaller and typically run off battery so don't need to be plugged in. The paper is pretty expensive too, like 15 cents a page, but if you print rarely it may be viable.

A coworker travels a lot (or at least used to), so he carried one in his suitcase so he could always print while on the road.

We've been using the HP M15W for about 3 years now. Always works when we need it and small to tuck away.

I have not done an a "deep dive" in several years, but Brother was the "king" of small laser (not ink) printers for a long time.

HP M15 is a pretty small printer for sure..



However, be aware, since it is very compact, it does not have conventional paper tray with auto document feeder..



You will have to flip down the "paper tray" in the front and that becomes your paper tray.. Essentially operates like a "manual" paper feed on most printers..





If you can live with that, it seems to be a good choice!
