- StarkNakedExplorer IIThe website did change to a new "improved" version.
I remember last September that when you logged on, you could use the old version, or choose to use the new version. - 2oldmanExplorer IIThe new version is terrible. Specifically, the Salton Sea SRA site and Mecca beach CG. The campsites are skewed completely off the road, and the text contains grammatical errors. I've complained, but nobody cares, not even the park rangers.

The state of California. - LwiddisExplorer IIThat would be me and 30 million others.
- Executive45Explorer IIICalifornia State Parks has always lacked the expertise to put together a decent website. Most of the Parks brass are simply old execs waiting to retire. They don't even follow the rules posted for the park system. Look at their park's length limitations. Website says max 30' yet their SMALLEST site if 49'. Letters to Sac go unanswered and deposited in the trash barrel. I don't think they even recycle them....Dennis
- NamMedevac_70Explorer IIThe Calif State Parks has been very good to this Nam Vet and their mail is very fast to Reno. I also have a direct line to a few of their and mine favorite parks.
Cheers to the New Year. - TechWriterExplorer

In the almost 20 years I've used online sites, including Reserve California, to book campgrounds, I've always used the reservation service campground maps as "suggestions".
I rely on city/county/state/federal maps and/or Google Maps.
