DO you want to be anonymous or doesn't that matter?
If anonymous then Duckduckgo does not track your searches

Startpage is OK. Used it some for awhile.

I use FireFox too but I just changed my home page to DuckDuckGo and it seems to be a good search engine.

BTW - (FWIW) - they rate DuckDuckGo as #2, after Bing.

I switched to Start Page and what i found is they only show you about 20% of the results vs google and it seems like what you do get is not current. Search for breaking news and many times all you can get is results from a year ago.

Even just looking up for a business' half of the business in an area will not show up. You wouldn't know that unless you were aware that there definitely where more. Google the same and all of them show up.
They are providing only safe non tracking sites which let's be honest 98% of them do so they don't show them on a search.

Went back to google with a clear history after each search. Think I will give that duck duck one a try though.
