Second Tailgater Bites The Dust

With nothing connected to the receiver, uncheck super dish and alternate and run a check switch. It should come back with no switch detected and no satellites listed in the results. Now power off the receiver (unplug if necessary) and connect the receiver to the tailgater directly (new cable would be a good idea) and power on the receiver and your TV. If you do not get the Tailgater setup screen the 2 pieces of hardware are not communicating and you will then need to try a new cable before contacting King Dome to see if there are any additional trouble-shooting options.

I returned home and hooked up the 211k to the house fixed dish and it works fine. I did notice that the area code on the check switch was wrong. Would that make a difference? It was on super dish because that's what it was on at home.

I did try a brand new cable when it was in the RV and I ran direct to the back of the receiver without going through the RV.

So is the suggestion to hook the receiver back to the tailgater but first uncheck the super or alt dish, run a check switch? If screen comes up that says fewer satelites have been detected than before are you sure you want to change it... I should say no right? It seems if it's detecting fewer satellites I should not change it.

You should be seeing a check switch that only goes to 38 so be sure that you uncheck super dish and alternate and do it again. Let it run all the way through.
As BB_TX indicates, the receiver and the Tailgater do not appear to be communicating so after you clear the check switch, try a new cable (be sure you run the cable directly from the Tailgater to the receiver and not through any coach wiring) and see what happens. If you are currently not running directly Tailgater to receiver, that could easily be the problem as well.

I am beginning to suspect the receiver is not recognizing the Tailgater is even being connected. I think if it detected it it would bring up the location screen. Could be a problem with the Tailgater or the receiver. Maybe a cable problem. Have you tried a new cable connected directly from the Tailgater to the receiver? Not thru the trailer wiring?
Probably no amount of searching will do anything until that is resolved.

I use to get the state location set up screen as well but I am NOT getting it now it goes straight to searching for signal?

tried check switch without being connected and I get the same thing check 1 to 50 instead of 1 of 3 should I let it ccycle through the 1 through 50?

My 211k + Tailgater first comes up with a screen wanting me to choose the location by state where I currently am located (if I remember correctly, haven't used it since June). Apparently it needs that to get the correct azimuth and elevation for the sats at that location. After selecting that location, then it goes into the search mode.
Does yours not ask for a location?

Setup screen goes right to searching for signal. Will try check switch wo being connected and see how that goes

Do you get the setup screen when plug everything together? Did you do a check switch with no cable connected to the 211K first?

Tried those suggestions and no change. The only thing that has changed since the last time I used the TG is we had Dish change the dish on our house. Sine we use the 211m at home and in the RV I was wondering if the tech could have changed something in the receiver so it would work with the Tailgator?
