I make good use of Snagit for screen captures, video, etc and some editing. I'm currently using version 11 and thinking about a upgrade to version 13. So I'm looking for some input before I down load and start using the 15 day trial version especially considering enhanced and/or new functions. Suggestions?If you're unfamiliar with Snagit it is far beyond any screen capture program that I'm aware of. But I'm willing to try a good free or mostly free screen capture program with my bench mark being Snagit.

My version is about a year old, but I don't know which one it is. I was disappointed that I could use it to post screen shots into RV.Net postings, but then again, it might just be me not using it right. Have you been able to use it with RV.Net?When they send me notices about upgrading, it's for features that are way beyond my capability such as special editing of movies and so on.Bill

Unfortunately you can't post a picture on rv.net except with a link to the picture on public source. A picture in your signature is an exception. I'm sure I won't use all of the Snagit features but maybe some of the old features have improved.

MS Snipping Tool works pretty well for a freebie.

I'm one day into testing version 13.1.2, W7 Pro build 7601 with all updates yesterday. I'm happy to say that some 11 website scrolling problems that I've seen are resolved. But I have a list of 14 problems, some significant with W7 screen captures all sent to Snagit today.

After you copy, paste in Paint. Save as a jpeg. Then upload to a photo hosting site. Use the photo URL and past into RV.net with the photo tool. That's how you do it.

I use the MS Snipping tool all the time - especially with GOOGLE MAPS in Satellite view mode...

I will SNIP it from the map and save in IMGUR which will add the HTTP address and share with all...

Great for looking at loop back roads in way out places...
