The public beta testing is by invitation only so far, and coverage is currently limited to northern US and Canada. The user terminal requires a $499 payment and the monthly subscription is $99. During the beta test phase, the user terminals are geofenced to the subscribers registered address, so not suited to mobile RV'ers. Reports from the testers indicate the actual usable range is within a 15 mile circle of the subscriber's address. Speeds and latency are looking pretty good so far, and should improve as additional satellites fill out the orbital paths.
