Strange Things

I have DSL with Century link
on my HP laptop with widows 8.1 I had a desk top picture of flowers in Death valley NP.

ON my ACER netbook that came with windows 7 I just installed windows 10 and spending time learning it, than wanted to get a picture for the desk top, found one and saved it and set it for the desk top ( it's a waterfall picture) got it on line.

My HP laptop has been off the whole time, than after dinner I started up the HP laptop and the waterfall picture that I put on the ACER came up as my desk top picture ,I didn't
copy it to the HP the flower picture is missing . Any ideas what is going on? Can my DSL modem be holding things and transfer them to my HP laptop?

    I know windows 10 I sign into my Microsoft account and several things are copied computer to computer automatically,,,,, Including my desktop photo (one I took with my phone).

    I do not recall if Win 8 did that or not. (Sorry been a while)

    I do have both computers with MS accounts and I will check my Sync settings tomorrow.

    Do you login to both computers with your MS Account? That's one of the "features" of using a MS Account, lots of settings and preferences are synced between your computers.

    You can control what gets synced. In Windows 10, click on the notification icon on the Taskbar in the lower right of your screen, then All settings->Accounts->Sync your settings. There you will find the options to control what you wish to have synced or turn it off completely.

    Just a guess but is google drive setup to sync? Weird it pulled in the desktop wallpaper though, would not expect roaming profiles to be setup but could be.
