Streaming to TV from Cell Phone
Not sure if this has been a topic before or not and this is something I have never tried before but when out camping does anyone ever stream TV from their cell phones to their NON SmartTV in the trail...

on my devices, the screen stays on
remember the device is 'AWAKE' streaming the video
what you are doing is 'ALSO' sending the signal to the TV via the cable
IF the device was asleep , it would not be streaming
phones and tablets are NOT designed to blank the screen while streaming video
in most cases you will running some kind of 120v power for the TV
just connect the phone to a charge port, if you are worried about battery life
