T V wiring

In my 2007 Southwind there are cables marked 2003 and 2002. Is there someway I can determine which cable goes to what connection, ie, bedroom and the connector in the bay for the outside TV.
  • You can short them out to check them with an ohm meter. However, I made up a short coax cable with a 50 ohm resistor across it. Any size will work. I measure the other end looking for specifically 50 ohms. If I'm get reading other than the 50 ohms it isn't the one I am looking for. Or it could be going through a splitter etc. I'm installing a sat antenna now and find the cable with the resistor is working out well. When finished every cable will be labeled.

Coax cables are 2 conductors (inner pin and outer shield). If you have an ohm meter, short the threads (shield) to the center pin with a little piece of wire on one of the cables and then check the other end of the various cables for a short between center and shield.

Or just hook something up and use trial & error.
