These cell phone interceptors have been known for a while. Akin to so called black box servers setup at major data centers to essentially record traffic flow. Both of which have been allegedly used for intelligence gathering.

Not sure if you can do much about it other than separately encrypt both voice and data traffic, assuming that the encryption itself hasn't been breached.

Or the use of hacked firmware or hardware embedded eavesdropping which can be incorporated in most any type of computer device or accessory, which has already been acknowledged to some extent or independently discovered.

You should just assume that any type of communication is no longer private. If it actually ever was?

The do NOT even need fake towers.
They have your CELL PHONE that allows them the exact same info.

Go thru all the settings on these CHINA made brand smart phones at Walmart.

I found each setting for each and every function has a full disclosure in one short paragraph ALL what they will use, listen to, delete and all what their plans for your info is! :S

Unlike Iphone where there are no settings for EACH function AND where it is buried within 200 micro pages of "click here" for privacy info and if you don't 'click here' you can't use the product, that NO one reads.

Apparently no one has told China NOT to TELL the user all what they do with your info, your voice they can and will record, copy contacts, emails, etc.!! Frankly I was shocked at all what was written under each setting as to what they WILL take when using the phone!

I'm sure the article is legitimate.

Easy solution! My laptop became so corrupted with junk, was so annoying, had a mind of it's own, and gosh knows what else ... viruses? attacks? who knows!
