TPMS

When using TPMS do you use flow thru monitor or remove monitor to adjust pressure?

That's what I do with my TST 507 system, very quick and simple. The only downside I've heard with the flow through sensors is they are slower to fill, but that would not be a deal breaker for me. I don't think they had the flow throughs when I bought my TST.
  • I have the flow-through sensors and if I had to do it over I would give them a big ol' pass. It takes forever to add any air to the tires because of the restrictive nature of the sensors. So if I have to add more than a couple of psi, I end up taking the sensors off anyway.
  • I remove the sensors (non-flow through) when I arrive at a new destination. Air pressure activates the transmitters and I save battery life this way.
  • I have to remove the whole sensor. Not a problem and love the system.

  • I have the flow through sensors, but I found it's easier to unscrew the whole sensor to make an adjustment versus the valve cap. But that's just the way my wheels and stems are set up. On my last rig, it was easier to remove the cap instead of the sensor.
