It probably has to do with the 12VDC CONTROL VOLTAGE that needs to go up the COAX to the turn-on the DISH HEADS... If there is anything in these lines like splitters etc it may inhibit the 12VDC.
I would eliminate the RV first and try direct connections to see if everything is working then add the long RG cables and paths getting inside your RV.
Back in the day when I was bringing along my extra SAT DISH and SAT RCVR from home I could not use the so-called SAT CONNECTOR on the trailer. I had to run the RG cables thru the RV window directly to the SAT RCVRs to get them to work.
