Unlocking an AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-I777 smart phone
If anyone knows how to do it, down in mexico, for free, please post it up here, also send a PM to mexicowanderer with directions for someone almost 80 years old. Go easy on him. It's his first smart phone and he has a Mexican Brand SIM card for it and needs to get it unlocked pronto, $100 worth of monthly bill is burning a hole in his pocket at $3.33 a day, or there abouts, without being used.
I gave him specific instructions to do it with ATT and visit them to unlock it while he was in San Diego, =but he had too much medical visits on his plate to take care of it while here, and headed across the border before addressing the unlock situation, despite my best instructions to do so before going back to Mexico... too much to do, not enough time.
