Verizon 5G

Just on news this morning Verizon started up their 5G network in Denver.
  • Looking forward to it, especially when it helps ease congestion on crowded 4G towers in dense areas.

Just noticed the City Council in Grand Rapids Michigan voted to ban 5G deployment within city limits citing health concerns. What a crock of horse manure. I'm sure Comcast and Charter have their fingers in that pie.

Since it's approved at the Federal and State levels, why would a small city government have any say.

Yea Gorden, Their probably on the take from Comcast. I would really like to see Comcast get some genuine competition since their ripping off the whole nation. Plus, city councils are generally populated with people with only double digit I.Q's, who react with hysteria over anything new.

It has been approved but only by bureaucrats not the medical community. It uses near field communications and could be detrimental to health. There are many studies underway. I'm for 5G too but having said that I'm with you on the collusion thing in GR.

It looks like this is going to happen in a number of places. Syracuse, NY just put their deployment on hold. Syracuse Common Council Delays 5G.
