VW Bay Window 1978 cord/converter

'>
Hello,
looking for a cord to connect my 1978 Bay Window VW ti european power.
What do I need? A cord including converter from 220V would be great.
In any case: what is the official name or code for the male plug I need to connect to my externalconnection on the VW as shown in the picture?
THX and bye!
Andrew
  • 300 Watts seems a little low.. Figure out the total wattage required to run everything in the rv and add a little extra buffer.

The receptacle on your rv is a recessed 120v polarized grounded receptacle. Uses a standard US 120v extension cord.

Had a similar problem many years ago. I bought a 3000 watt 220-240 volt to 110-120 volt transformer. I mounted it in the camper and converted the US receptacle to euro. std. Don't remember the type.
C of F, That was a long time ago and I have forgotten. I do remember the Mark was .25 USD

This way you will be German on the outside, US on the inside.

Mine was a cheap, temporary solution. easy to convert back.
  • this will work

probably need to build a case for it.
As for the cord any good 12 gauge outdoor cord will do
