Which cell phone

My BH is in the process of replacing our cell phones. What is a good phone without all the wistles and bells, can scroll on screen, take photo's, etc.? We travel and want to be able to not have any dead areas. What are we needing that doesn't cost the price of a Rolls-Royce, if you know what I mean.

Go to your nearest Verizon dealer (best coverage across the country) and compare feature phones vs smart phones. Just keep in mind that if you get a smart phone you'll also have to purchase a data plan to go along with your voice minutes.

If you wont use it, then smart phones are not the right choice for you. Get a feature phone, with them you tan talk and text. Best overall coverage is Verizon. But again a pay as you go plan might be a better choice for you.

No dead areas is mostly a factor of who provides the service. We have found Verizon to consistently have the best coverage. As far as the phone choice it comes down to Android or I Phone and we have been very happy with our I Phones (feature rich and user friendly).

A 16Gb I Phone is about $200 when you sign up for service. For us it came down to the fact that we have (and love), our Mac at home so staying with Apple and getting the I Phone was a no brainer. :C

I use a Nokia with a windows based system.
Seems to do all you want it to do and not that expensive.

If you want no dead areas your only option would be a satellite phone and they are expensive. It seems all providers have spots with little or no coverage in some areas.
