windows 8.1 or windows 7

Getting a new computer. Which operating SYSTEM SHOULD I get? Windows 8.1 or windows 7.

I prefer Windows 7 for a computer that does not have a touch screen. I have both and it is hard for me to go from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. However, I have Windows 8 on a tablet and it works very well there.
