I believe that in general, speaking of any extended warranty for any product, you will find that the cost/benefit will likely be hard to justify. The factory warranty covers the first 2 years for parts (1 year labor) so you be looking at year 3 and beyond. If you can get one cheap enough it could be worthwhile but sometimes they cost as much as 25-40% the cost of a new unit.
