Wineguard pay as we want cable..

In a photo forum someone said this company offers cable month to month or when we want it. Does anyone have this or know about it?
I don't want to start getting a gazillion phone calls or emails from them for inquiring and it might not be what I need.

  • Directive is NOT cable service it is however satellite service similar to Dish network. I have heard that like Dish, Direct offers a month to month service. But since we use Direct at home we just take receivers with us when we travel.
  • You can get Pay-as-you-go service from Dish Network. You pay for 30 days at a time (if you only want a week you lose 3 weeks) and then you need to buy a satellite TV antenna. That's what Winegard sells. They can also get you setup with Dish Network but the service does not come from Winegard.
  • Thanks. For all the years we were with DirectTv, we kept asking about our RV status and there didn't seem to be a solution!?
I guess t.v. Isn't our biggest issue but didn't want to spend a lot of $$ on a contract term limit. We really need gigs like everyone else, but no land line to cut the cost.
But this time of year, hubby would like to watch the hockey playoffs....
  • Get Sat service for home. Then duplicate the dish you get for the roof. Take your home receiver. That's by far the cheapest setup. Online purchase of dish/tripod setup cost around 150 dollars for a decent setup.
  • We live full time in rv, no home base. We had Direct tv at 1 time but a 2 yr contract. Question is can we just get it month to month or a month here and there. We don't watch t.v. A lot just some special occasions/events.

A reasonable suggestion would be to contact DTV and pose the questions to them. Doubtful anyone on forums would have the correct answer.

Yes. Here is my post from above:
