Advice for fixing a Thetford toilet valve, it's EASY!

Hey all,

So as the worst beginner ever, I let me toilet freeze after de-winterizing too early. The water valve on my Thetford AquaMagic v5 potty popped as it was supposed to! 🙂

After trying to glue that mess, I bought a new one on Amazon for 21 bucks.

Let me tell you, this is a SUPER simple fix. One screw and a couple plugs here and there.

You should totally do this yourself, don't pay some RV place 70 bucks. Save 50 and do it yourself!

You got it. Most repair jobs on an RV can be do it yours self projects if you have the inclination.

I have always done all my repair work, but now that I am getting up in age getting my body in position to do some of the repairs that I used to easily do is now dang near impossible. So now I often opt to pay someone to do some of these repairs.

X2 - I know exactly what you're feeling . Not RV related, but I was asked (told) recently by my wife to mount a water hose reel assembly onto a brick wall on our home.

No problem I said to myself as I had done this same job a couple of years ago.

Only this time, she wanted the assembly mounted much lower on the wall than the one earlier. This required getting on my knees and up again a couple of times. I was hurting for the next couple of days afterwards.
