I have seen one use of a large enclosed trailer behind an "A". One of the renaissance faire people that does "the circuit" has a type A, and a trailer. The enclosed trailer when on the road holds the husband's vehicle, a Harley trike, and the wife's vehicle, a subcompact. When at the destination, both vehicles come out, shelves are folded down, and the trailer then becomes a work office.
It works out well for them, but it does mean a lot of maintaining -- four vehicles that have to be insured and registered, sixteen tires to replace (especially with a tag axle), etc.
