I was wondering if anyone has camped outside Bryce Canyon off of highway 63, just before entering the park, fire road 090? I hear that there is plenty of space with adequate camping areas. I will be heading there in mid June and pulling a 27ft travel trailer. This would be my first time really dry camping and not making prior reservations. I worry about safety and about the camp sites possibly being full? If folks with camping experiences in the area could share their wisdom I would truly be grateful. Thanks!
Try here. There are more than one area on 22 north of Bryce.

Red Canyon cg is nice. Good backup if you do not find a free boondocks spot.
