Generator Usage in Parking Lots/Public Streets

From the OP, it sounds like he is not talking about overnighting in parking lots and on streets with the generator running.

It sounds like he is talking about a few hours during the day - while they are shopping or visiting the museum, etc., they would have the dog and/or another person staying behind in the RV and would like to run the generator during that time frame.

From what I've read here, people do that all the time.
