Has anyone done it. That's right, either install a pellet stove or a real wood stove in their RV, motorcoach or camper to winter over In NE PA, or basically 4 months of freezing hell. There are small units made for tents I see but I don't see why you can't install one of these small natural wood stoves in an RV as long as you keep a window cracked for proper draft and run a a CO detector for safety?. Last year we had planned a trip a weekend apart so I had left some food items in the fridge. There ended up being a thunderstorm which shut off the power to the fridge while it was in my driveway and it all spoiled. I cleaned it and it was mold free for the rest of the summer. When I opened it this spring, the fridge was absolutely gross. It had lots of mold and mostly in the same places from last summer (the lower shelf in the door and the freezer). It had spread a bit more though. I have cleaned it again and have the doors propped open to keep the air flowing. But the rubber seal around the freezer is stained and no matter how I scrub it didn't come clean. I'm using a thyme oil cleaner which is a natural mildew killer. Why I'm posting is two reasons: #1. Any suggestions on what type of cleaner I should use to remove the stains in the rubber seal. #2. What could I keep in the fridge and freezer to keep it from molding up again other than keeping the doors open. Would baking soda work? That's more about smell I thought? A cup of salt? Thank you ... Hello all, newbie Canuck just joined this weekend. After tons of research, test-drives and formal inspections, I've finally bought a wee Class B for myself. Any constructive advice for a woman travelling solo? I've heard everything from "you're brave/insane" to "stay in Canada only". Last kid graduates HS in 15 months and we’re planning on joining the road travel world. Have only tent camped up to this point and not sure where to start in the RV world. I’m really hoping to be able to tow a boat, but don’t know if that’s realistic? Seems like a truck camper would be a better option than a motorcoach for towing/launching. Fairly certain a diesel 350 will be needed, but don’t know if a dually is mandatory unless the camper is on the heavier side. Ultimate dream is to cruise the West Coast from BC to B.C. With a boat I can fish the saltwater with (24 - 28ft). Is that a pipe dream? Would it be more realistic to forget about the boat and get a 5th wheel rig to have more space? We also have 2 small dogs who will be with us, so any advice/opinion on pets in truck campers versus 5th wheels would be greatly appreciated! ... View more
