One word of caution on E-Bay LED's... I have purchased several LED lamps. most were at least as good as a 1141 (A slightly less powerful replacement for a 1156) and I call those good.. Some were... Well I do not like using that kind of language.. Very dim, Very blue and Very short lived is the polite language.

Thus my advice

Buy one, not where, if you like it buy a dozen. (more or less)

jamway is correct. The ones gbopp linked to are a smaller bayonette base (BA9S) than the 1141 bulbs. The 1141 have a BA15S base.

I used the same panels that jamway linked to and found them to be very similar to the 1141 bulbs in brightness and color. I also used some 18-5050 cob style bulbs, similar to the ones handye9 linked to but with 18 leds. The 24-5050 may be a little brighter.

In any case I would advise you to buy a couple and try them before buying more. I have found a wide variation between sellers on eBay.

Be careful I don't think that will fit a 1141 socket. This one will 1141 adaptor

I just saw this site http://www.m4products.com and thought these people had some good stuff.

I had good results buying the LED replacements that have a base with wires that connect to a flat square that has the led lights on it. The flat square has a sticky backing that sticks to the inside of the light fixture. I wish I could find the invoice. I think it was from Amazon. They were very inexpensive ( about $1.99 each) and of course were from China.

do your research. There are flat panel ones also, for ceiling lights.
