Gee I got a power cord (no adapters) and a sewer hose that amazing lasted over 10 years. and a 2 year warranty at least on some stuff.

I found the manuals helpful. but I do technical translation so I know how to read 'em.

For 100K I got a decent house.. Well finished. Exactly as advertised. only issue was a few loose screws (electrcal) and a couple recalls. But then most "nits" are in my skill set.

So far I've been liing it about 10 of it's 13 years. Oh I"ve had to fix a few things.

But I'd done a lot of research so when I took delivery I filled a shopping basket with the "Stuff" i needed. power adapters. Water hose (not included) and products. Macerator pump for those occasions where you need to dump UP HILL. and so on.

Liked the result

Oh. The salesman told me I'd have a FORD engine and an ALLISON transmission.
(Uh. Say WHAT) even he thought that was strange (Allisons fit GM engines and some others but the holes are in the wrong place for a Ford) It's a Chevy 8.1
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

This should be required viewing for anyone thinking about getting an RV. He doesn't cover the negatives of the lifestyle eg. can't get a site where and when you want one, the fact that the entire campground is a dog run and many RVers don't know how to build a fire that doesn't smoke for an hour before a flame shows up et. al.

Nice vid for someone who is buying these days.. Seems most new RVer's these days are just coming off the street and with the price of the new rigs these days, think it should be like a house.... 🙂

Yep, I agree with what the dude is saying. You gotta have some basic home fix knowledge and some basic tools to be able to enjoy the "RV" lifestyle IMO... Or be willing to PAY someone else to do it or PAY for that useless extended coverage...

I don't know how many folks I've helped out with just a little information, or loaning a tool to even having some duct tape and some cardboard handy so they could cover the broken out rear window they received from the lawn mower that throw a rock thru it!

I've even helped someone who could not figure out how to open the pedestal cover for the electric hookup! Then I had to tell them they need to turn the breaker to ON so it will work!

Anyway, it's the way it is and I've never expected my $14,000 RV to be a five star hotel.. I've made dozens of "mods" to my RV to suit our needs and we are still doing things to it that we scratch our head and say "why didn't we do this sooner?"

That's why I use a lot of the payload in my truck for tools and stuff I 'might need'... It has come in handy for myself and other's for the past 16 or so years I've been doing this RV thing on my own..

I learned a lot growing up as a kid and camping with my family from tents to just about every kind of "RV" out there... This was back in the 70's-80's, so trailers where a lot less 'fancy' back then.. 😉

Good luck!
