Nice vid for someone who is buying these days.. Seems most new RVer's these days are just coming off the street and with the price of the new rigs these days, think it should be like a house....
🙂Yep, I agree with what the dude is saying. You gotta have some basic home fix knowledge and some basic tools to be able to enjoy the "RV" lifestyle IMO... Or be willing to PAY someone else to do it or PAY for that useless extended coverage...
I don't know how many folks I've helped out with just a little information, or loaning a tool to even having some duct tape and some cardboard handy so they could cover the broken out rear window they received from the lawn mower that throw a rock thru it!
I've even helped someone who could not figure out how to open the pedestal cover for the electric hookup! Then I had to tell them they need to turn the breaker to ON so it will work!
Anyway, it's the way it is and I've never expected my $14,000 RV to be a five star hotel.. I've made dozens of "mods" to my RV to suit our needs and we are still doing things to it that we scratch our head and say "why didn't we do this sooner?"
That's why I use a lot of the payload in my truck for tools and stuff I 'might need'... It has come in handy for myself and other's for the past 16 or so years I've been doing this RV thing on my own..
I learned a lot growing up as a kid and camping with my family from tents to just about every kind of "RV" out there... This was back in the 70's-80's, so trailers where a lot less 'fancy' back then..
😉Good luck!
