help with shower head install

Hi, just bought a new oxygenics spa for my TT. Can someone tell me if the size of the hole on the valve body in the shower where the hose hooks up is supposed to be only a 1/8 inch hole? shouldn't it be the full dia. of the fitting? Please help seems pressure is fine but no volume.

That's the way it works.......great pressure at a reduced volume to give you a good shower using less water.
  • I get a lot of water out of my oxygenics shower head through that little hole.
  • Some of them have a "collar" where the head connects to the hose. This also helps to adjust the water coming out. Is the volume shut all the way down on it? Check to make sure it is not.

  • I don't dry camp so I simply drilled out the hole a little larger. Now we can control the volume ourselves. Made my better half quite happy.
  • We normally have full hookups so I just drilled the hole out to full pipe size. The Oxygenic head will limit flow (2.5 gpm ?)by its design so I'm more worried about a good shower than water usage. Likewise I took the flow restrictor out of the kitchen sink so I could fill a stock pot in less than 20 minutes.

It's your camper, tune it to how you live and use it. :)
  • With the Oxygenics shower I usually cut the water flow back some from full flow, and I never did change the little hole. We do dry camp some but even on FHU sites we have plenty of water. Before the Oxygenics, well... that was a different story.
