I bought a used class a winnebago motorhome that has water stained carpet on the ceiling. The roof must have leaked before and has been repaired. My question is is there any way to remove the stain?
I had a bottle of water in the cargo net on the cab over. Cap wasn't on tight, fell over and washed the carpet. Not bad just a half bottle. But didn't know for a couple of weeks. I used Oxy clean for the first round, dab no scrubby, follow by flex in the hoover carpet machine, upholstery tool. Came out pretty nice. Go easy on the fabric, aggressive scrubbing will show. BTW that Folex works great on all stains, used it when I had my rotties and now my human kids. Cheers.
"naturist"....don't ask me how I know.....use the above suggestions, starting with Oxyclean. Whatever you do though, don't scrub with a brush unless it's really soft. If you use a stiff brush, it tears up the weave and even though it may come clean, you'll see the weave change. I would damp it dry as others stated.
If the Oxyclean doesn't do the trick, you can also try a 10% solution of bleach. Lay some towels on the floor when using a sprayer so the bleach goes where you want it to.
We had a leak in our previous motorhome. I used a mix of Oxyclean and water. Dabbed the solution on, scrubbed it, then used our carpet cleaner to spray clean water and suck it out. Our carpet cleaner has a hose that can be used for upholstery. Came out looking good.
