When I was planning a trip to England, Scotland and Wales some years ago (No RV), I was offered a great rental deal on an estate in northern England for an excellent price by a total stranger. It was pretty obvious. English wasn't the scammers first language, the rent had to be paid before I arrived, and, since they had given me the exact location with pictures, I checked it out online. It was, indeed, a beautiful estate. But a very much alive Earl and his family was living in it at the time. I jerked them around for a while, then told them what I knew, created a new EMail address and had the old one removed by my provider.
