How did you determine tanks were full? Ignore the idiot lights.
Gray tank is full when shower pan won't drain.
Black tank is full when toilet won't flush.
Take navy showers.
Wash dishes in a dish pan set in the sink. Pour used dish water into toilet.
Never allow water to run when not being used. No water running while washing dishes, brushing teeth or washing hands. Only run water when filling something or rinsing something.
It really is simple, you just have to make mental adjustments to the way you are accustomed to using water.
