You cannot leave your windows or doors or vents open while you run the AC. AC was invented/created on the premise that less humidity made the air more comfortable even at higher temps. Your AC dehumidifies your air. Your air conditioner can freeze up solid if you leave openings to the outside. As ice builds up you may notice the unit being less effective.
