- coolbreeze01ExplorerA 3500 lb jack should lift 3500 lbs.
- DutchmenSportExplorerThe 3500 lb is the "Max load". Meaning, that's how much weight the jack can lift.
When selecting an electric jack, you need to consider the total weight it will be lifting. It not only has to lift the trailer tongue, but it also has to lift the attached tow vehicle. The higher the lift, the heavier the tow vehicle becomes as it's lifting weight off the rear springs. - Sandia_ManExplorer IIPowered tongue jack specs refers to the max weight it can lift and not the weight of the RV it is intended to be used on.
