Negotiating RV Price

I'm comfortable negotiating the price of a car or a house, but am not sure what to expect with an RV. We're about to buy a brand new Wolf Creek truck camper and are wondering how much wiggle room RV dealers have. I don't know if it's nothing or a lot. A new GM car or truck can be sold for 12% below MSRP, but I doubt they'll go that far on an RV- especially since the one we are looking at is in high demand right now.

So, what do you all think?

Google that particular model and see what dealers nationwide are advertising. You will likely find "sale" prices varying thousands. Many times a dealer will list a so called MSRP, a sale price, and a comment to call for their lowest price. Then you can print out the lowest prices you find and use those to negotiate.

Most common figure thrown about is 30% off MSRP

Take it from there.

As with any 'commodity' for sale there is the asking price, the offered price and the agreed upon price.

What is dealer asking.......make lower offer and work towards a agreed price.

Fortunately today we have the Internet which makes 'comparison' shopping just a click away
