You do not have to remove one 2K genie from the other; if you don't need it, just don't start it up. Our champions are stackable if needed. Might want to remind folks thinking of a remote start gennie that you will need to have the genie switched on at the unit before the remote will work, and yes, if your unit is a little cold blooded, plan on going out and working the choke. That didn't influence my decision, it came down to the weight of a 3k+ vs the versatility of two smaller units.
