You need to use a photo hosting site on the internet. Upload your photo to the site. The site will create a "URL" for the photo location. Once uploaded, you copy that URL into your post in RV.net with an "Image Tag" at the front and behind the URL. If you click on the "Advanced Post Forum link, there is a help there. You click on the image that looks like a little mountain and then copy-paste that URL in that box and click "finsih". It will put the correct "Tags" in front and behind the URL.
Once you save your post, the "internet" (html code) that RV.net uses and your browser will go out to the photo hosting site. It will find your photo because of the URL and the browser will pull the image back into the post.
There are several free photo hosting web sites on the internet. Folks on these forums use all of them.
I use Photobucket.com. Some find it difficult to use, I don't. Find the link to create a User ID and Password, do so, log in, and then you can simply drag your photos to the site. Once it's there, you can open the photo and on the right side, you will see the URL. You copy that URL with your mouse clicks, and then paste it into that help box on RV.net.
Sounds complicated, but it really is not once you've done it.
The only problem with the "free" versions of the photo hosting sites is, you will probably get advertisments on their site. But that's a small price to pay for something completely free.
I use Photobucket.com for only 1 purpose, and that is to have somewhere I can send my photos to for the exclusive purpose of posting on RV.net. So, every photo of mine, in my account, has been shared on RV.net.
I keep the originals on my computer hard drive and do routine back-ups on an external drive. I never put anything on someone else's system without having my own original first and completely separate and private from the rest of the world. If you have photos on your own computer, you cannot use them from your computer. They have to be on a "server" that is connected to the Internet constantly, 24x7x365.
