DH and I are looking at our first 5th wheel toy hauler purchase. Jayco Seismic Wave 400W. The one we are considering has three AC's. I understand that if you're using the generator, you can only have 2 AC's on at one time. Can we use all 3 at one time if we are fully hooked up? It would ruin the point of having the third if we could only use two since we may have folks in all three sections at once (master BR, living area, and garage for the kids). I've searched the internet but it would be nice to have a simple yes or no answer from someone familiar with it.Also, DH seems pretty sure that his 2017 F350 (SRW) can handle this toy hauler. Dry weight is 14,652 I believe but not sure that includes 5500 Onan generator, third AC, etc. I saw one spec that put it around 15500. GVWR is 19000. His truck's specs are listed at 21100 or 20900. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.Looking forward to joining the RV community.

Yes, 50 amps is enough to run all three at the same time.

If you added a microair easy start kit to the air conditioners you may well be able to run all three on the 5500 watt Onan.

I can run all 3 of my ACs on 50a shorepower but if I run the 110v clothes dryer my ems will shutdown the 3rd AC. Our genny is 10kw so cant advise there.

Nothing simple in your multiple questions. If your generator is large enough you can power three ACs...or Milwaukee. Slow down. Learn more before buying. "Pretty sure" isn't sure.

Air/Con: No problem on a 50amp shore power.

Dry weight is irrelevant unless you plan to run with an empty unit which no one does. I'm not a fan of dual rear wheel trucks but at 19-20k lbs, I would want dual rear wheels.

Then again, if I'm reading this correctly, 5th wheels are capped at 18k assuming a best case set of options. (see footnote 3 on page 5) You didn't give us the full specs on your truck so it could be as little as 11.9k in a worst case scenario.

Asking for patience and clarification here. I have looked over that pdf numerous times and even called Ford to clarify. The guy had to put me on hold and just came back with the max being 12900. Doesn't seem right for a F350 but here's what's on the truck. It does have the 6.7 Turbo Diesel, shorter bed, SRW, already came ready for the 5th wheel hitch to be installed, 3.55 gear ratio. If I go to this site http://www.ford.com/trucks/super-duty/2017/models/f350-platinum/ I'm under the impression that we should be ok hauling that Seismic 400W. This is why I have a wrangler - so much less confusing but then I'm not towing anything either.

That corresponds to the crew cab 4x4 short bed with the 3.55 rear end and 20,900 CGVWR (check the sticker inside the truck door for the CGVWR).

If that matches your truck, that's the manufacturer's rating and this truck would be WAY over the ratings.

No, it's not surprising for a SRW.

Running all 3 on the generator depends on the generator.

5000-5000 will run two, 7500 should run 3
